Tovek Tools

Tovek Tools is set of applications for document indexing, retrieval, and analysis. It is available in the form of two packages with different levels of functionality.

Tovek Tools Search Pack

Tovek Tools Search Pack has everything you need to index your documents, to search through them, and to run searches on remote fulltext servers. It contains two applications.

Index Manager creates fulltext sources from document files, e-mail messages, and ODBC databases, and allows you to establish connections to remote sources. Remote sources can be managed by Verity K2 Broker/Server or by the Tovek Server.

Tovek Agent can search - at the same time - both the local and remote sources. Among many things it can do are the queries in multiple languages and document clustering and summarization. Retrieved documents can be displayed with highlights and exported to other applications for further processing. Tovek Agent has two user interfaces - a simple one for basic searching, and one similar to Verity’s Topic Agents for advanced use.

Tovek Tools can also be used to build your own solutions based on the underlying fulltext technology.

Tovek Tools Analyst Pack

Tovek Tools Analyst Pack adds more features to the Search Pack. It gives you tools to run better and more powerful searches and to further analyse your data.

Tovek Query Editor creates structured queries - topics - using powerful Verity Query Language. Queries can be run directly from within the editor. Topic trees might be inserted as OLE objects to documents, databases etc., or can be saved as standard Verity OTL files.

Tovek InfoRating produces a context matrix by running a set of queries against selected documents. Results are displayed in the form of matrix where rows are the documents, columns are queries and each cell is the document's relevance. Matrix can be converted into a html file or sent somewhere else for further processing.

Tovek Tools Fulltext Plug-in for Analyst's Notebook allows you to perform fulltext searches connected to your charts. Its overview is here. Analyst's Notebook must be purchased separately.
